Meet The Mother Of 2face, The Tafidan Kudenda Of Kudenda Kingdom

Rosemary Idibia is the beautiful mum to Nigerian’s singer Innocent Ujah Idibia, who is mostly know for his hit song “African Queen”.
He was recenly crowned the Tafidan Kudenda which means Ambassador Of Peace, and we think it will be nice for us to acknowledge this virtous woman who raised such an ambassador.

During Tuface Biography Book (A Very Good Bad Guy) launch at Terra Kulture, It was revealed that the Tafidan Kudendan’s mum never wanted him to be a music artiste.

According to his mum, Mrs. Rosemary Idibia, ‘he was born around 5.30am on the September 18 at OLA hospital in Jos. We did not take note of any special occurrences when he was born except jubilation in the family and congratulations from friends and well-wishers. The family moved to Makurdi in 1976 after the creation of Benue State from Plateau. His inclination towards music was shown at an early age of five; he would mimic songs from TV and Radio. We hoped he would pursue one of these high sounding professions like law, medicine, banking and so on’

To ensure that this dream of getting a white collar job is kept, 2Face was enrolled at St. Gabriela Secondary School in Makurdi, Benue State. He eventually got admitted to The Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) where he did his preliminary National Diploma course in business administration and management, where he eventually dropped out from. It might seem that the dreams of his mother being a Doctor’s Mum was shattered, but all hopes were not lost.

2face who knew what he wanted and went for it, persevered till he arrived at the point where he needs not to introduce himself.

Now his good works has been recognized by the Kudendan Kingdom as he has been crowned the Tafidan.

We believe his mother, the widow of Michael Idibia, who died late last year, stood by him during all these times, as she was raising a legend. She is definitely a sweet mother just as her name Rosemary.

I Have Many Regrets, If I Had Known I Wouldn’t Have Done Certain Things – Terry G

Akpako master, Terry G made a shocking revelation in his recent interview with Punch. The singer opened up on his past actions which he’s not proud of today.
In the interview, Terry G said he was “only a victim of controversies,” and mistakes anyone could commit. He said:
“I do not like controversies. I was only a victim of controversies. All that I have done in the past that made me controversial were mistakes anyone could commit.
I am still paying the price for my past. I did certain things I can never do again. I was a young boy, who was just having fun and enjoying music. My past still haunts me as I speak to you, as I am being judged for those actions. I have done things I am not proud of.”
Terry G also talked about how he was criticised for things that have become the norm in the industry today, while also adding that he paved the way for today’s artistes and that all the things he did, he did for the art. In his word:
“I am now a scapegoat all because I represented the streets and I was not afraid to show it. I sacrificed myself for the new generation of artistes. All I was being criticised for are those things artistes do freely now and no one talks about them.
I have many regrets, which I take as lessons in a way. If I had known better, I wouldn’t have done certain things.
But I do not think what I sing or say determines who I am. One day, Nigerians will realise that art is different from reality. I made my mother love Patience Ozokwor because she had the impression that she was a wicked woman because of her roles in movies. I made my father love many musicians too. I made them understand that what they were doing was an art.
Sooner than later, Nigerians will understand that the all the crazy things I do are just for the art; I am an actor. I am yet to do most of the things the new artistes do in their videos, yet people still see me as the most terrible person. In other countries, nobody makes an issue out of those things.”

13 Things You Need To Teach Your “girl Child” At An Early Age

The List Of Things You Need To Teach Your Girl Child At An Early Age are boldly listed below…

1: Warn your Girl Child Never to sit on anyone’s laps no matter the situation including uncles.

2: Avoid Getting Dressed in front of your child once she is 2 years old. Learn to excuse them or yourself.

3. Never allow any adult refer to your child as ‘my wife’

4. Whenever your child goes out to play with friends make sure you look for a way to find out what kind of play they do, because young people now s#xually abuse themselves.

5. Never force your child to visit any adult she is not comfortable with and also be observant if your child becomes too fond of a particular adult.

6. Once a very lively child suddenly becomes withdrawn you may need to patiently ask lots of questions from your child.

7. Carefully educate your grown ups about the right values of s#x. If you don’t, the society will teach them the wrong values.

8: It is always advisable you go through any new Material like cartoons you just bought for them before they start seeing it themselves.

9. Ensure you activate parental controls on your cable networks and advice your friends especially those your child visit(s) often.

10. Teach your 3 year old how to wash their private parts properly and warn them never to allow anyone touch those areas and that includes you (remember, charity begins from home and with you).

11: Blacklist some materials/associates you think could threaten the sanity of your child (this includes music, movies and even friends and families).

12. Let your child understand the value of standing out of the
crowd.

13: Once your child complains about a particular person, don’t keep quiet about it.

Take up the case and show them you can defend them.

Remember, we are either parents or parents-to-be. “THE PAIN LASTS A LIFETIME”

First Verse:
“Internet gangster, this the first chapter/ This brother just hammer, he collect from one maga/ Him steal person money, na hin he wan dey form swagga/ Everyday for the thief, one day for karma/ So you happy when you log into your online haven, and when you getting richer off another mans savings/ Stop explaining, that be lazy, No excuse you fit give them, No be only una wey be victim of the system/ No, you no be hustler, that one no be work sir.

Second Verse:

Recall Falz made headlines some months back after he called out Nigerian artistes who glorify Internet fraudsters in their music.

“You are a role model to the younger ones and you are hailing fraudsters, you are making the younger ones feel it is good to do it. Stop it! It is destroying our future,” he said.

Falz noted that the effects of such songs were destructive to the younger generation, stressing that artistes should rather engage in singing meaningful songs.

FG To Turn Fela’s House To Museum

The Federal Government has revealed plans to turn the ancestral home of afrobeat legend and activist Fela Anikulapo-Kuti into a museum.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said this while visiting the musician’s ancestral home in Ogun State, along with Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Punch reports.

Mohammed said Fela will be immortalised by turning the house located on NEPA Road, Isabo, Abeokuta, into a museum.

The museum will be inaugurated “very soon, probably next year,” he said, describing the plan as laudable and admirable. He said:

It is laudable in the sense that this is one of the most positive steps to actually put our rhetorics into action.

We have always said that one of the important assets we have is our cultural heritage, our history and this project, which is going to immortalise the Ransome-Kuti family, is laudable and admirable.

The family, as you know, represent different things to different people, whether you talk about education, emancipation, music or entertainment.

Therefore, this attempt by the government at immortalising the family by preserving and restoring the ancestral home is very commendable.

This is the period we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the death of the maestro himself and I am sure this is within time, as the museum will be inaugurated very soon, probably next year.

The emphasis of this government, whether state or federal, is that the creative industry must be turned into creative economy and this centre is going to be a good model to encourage and inspire the youth.

Amosun described Fela as someone who was ahead of his time.

The Kuti family conquered the world, he said, not just Ogun State or Nigeria. He said:

All our icons have a special place in our administration. These are the people who define us, when we go out there and say we are from Ogun State. We can’t call ourselves who we say we are without those giants who lived before us. They laid the foundation that we are all building upon.

And, clearly, the Kuti family is one of those illustrious families that conquered the world, not only Ogun Sate or Abeokuta or Nigeria . Indeed, at times when I  am away in the US and I take a cab, the music I hear is that of great Fela himself.

Fela was far ahead of his time. For us, it will be in our interest to let people know his origin, his root.

Lagos Catholic Priest Sleeps With Lady Raped & Impregnated By Her Stepbrother

A woman identified as Grace Nkanueko, who was allegedly being used by a Catholic priest who slept with her under his roof in Lagos has given birth. According to Hammid Bakare, a broadcast journalist, the woman was allegedly raped by her step brother who impregnated her before she was brought to Lagos by the Catholic priest.

The priest allegedly continued to sleep with the lady despite her condition and asked her to give out her child for a price after her delivery.

Read the full gist below as shared by the journalist who has now picked interest in the case.

Back to the case I talked about yesterday the one involving Abuse ,Rape and possibly child trafficking. I have written to the commissioner of police and I have been to the social welfare department where the illicit act is perpetrated further. Here's the gist.

A case was brought to my attention. there is this lady (aged BTW 19 and 21) that was a patient, from stories told, her step brother impregnated her (she was raped) and she was sent out of the village. A catholic evangelist brought her to Lagos and was having his way with her while she was still pregnant under his roof. She delivered through cs on Tue last week.

The Church priest and some other people are trying to convince this young lady to give out her child for a price. She is really shattered because of all she has gone through. I believe that she should be assisted and not been deceived
to give out her child.

I am taking it upon myself to investigate this matter and help this young lady. From her story, her step mum and even the village has sent her away, which means she is basically on her own.

Please I need your assistance please hide my id I am available to answer questions.

I am currently waiting for the welfare officer now with a view to ensure the young and take her child aren't separated. The name of the hospital is MOTHER MARY CATHOLIC HOSPITAL on KAMORU ADEYEMI and OLUDEGUN STREETS, ire-akari estate Isolo. She is in the female ward. Her name is GRACE Nkanueko. Meanwhile, anyone out there who can help the mother and child with toiletries and stuffs to help her nurture her child would be appreciated.

Why Buhari Will Still Win 2019 Presidency - Axelrod

Before you proceed, kindly know that this is my personal opinion which I am entitled to, just like you are entitled to yours!

It is no longer news that Nigerians are undergoing much more suffering in the President Muhammadu Buhari's administration than has ever been experienced in the 18years of absolute democracy in the country.

This suffering and hardship has been defined differently, according to each person's political views and affiliations. President Buhari's supporters have not wasted any chance to shout to high havens that the suffering and hardship is as a result of the rot left behind by the defeated, now opposition Peoples Democratic Party, particularly, the immediate past administration of President Goodluck Jonathan has been fingered the most.

Whereas, others see it differently, as they believe the hardship is as a result of the ruling party's inability and inexperience to manage the country. Those in this school, point to many factors to proof their points. Some of which are:

1. Nigerian Naira was around 197 to one USDolloar, $1 = N197, at the tthe the current administration took over powers, but now, the difference is almost double of what it used to be.

2. PMS pump price was at N97, despite the fact that crude oil sold for $100/per barrel then. Now it is at N145 even though crude oil is selling at $54/barrel.

3. The Nigerian Economy was one of the best in Africa, yet after the new administration came on board, the economy plunged into recession.

4. As a result of the recession, food stuffs skyrocketed, thus, the hardship in question.

5. Etc

Be it as it may, Nigerians, particularly those from the Southern part of the country have accused the current President of sectional leadership style. Some believe the President favours citizens from the North more than he does those from the South.

This accusations have formed the basis for which many people who feel unduly treated, together with those not feeling the impact of this government, should I say, those feeling the impact negatively, have vowed to vote President Buhari and APC out of power, come 2019.

The truth of the matter; it is easier for this poster to be President by 2019 than for the South to vote out President Buhari, should he decide to contest.
Hold on, I know you don't share my position and want to attack me now. But can you set emotions aside so we face reality?

-Now, President Muhammadu Buhari is highly revered in the North. Most Northerners, particularly, the Muslims who hold the majority in terms of population see him as their Messiah and will vote for his obituary poster(pun intended here). In that case, Buhari on a wheel chair will still win in the entire.

- In the South, he has allies who will rather die than not support him, even if he were on a sick bed. These persons include; Rochas Okorocha, Governor of Imo State, Rotimi Amaechi, Babatunde Fashola, Ibikunle Amosun, Chris Ngige, Fayemi Kayode, et al.

With those people, Buhari will get the needed votes from the South (he may not necessarily win the South).
If you check, I did not mention Tinubu nor Obasanjo. That was on purpose. Because, in some quarters, people believe that Tinubu has fallen out of favours from the President and as such ''may'' not support him by 2019.

So you see! It is almost impossible to vote out Buhari and he, just like his supporters, like Sarrki, Cleverly, Hungerbad, Omenka, Mynd44(no ban me o, I get right to talk o) and others know this. Hence, they keep shouting, Buhari till 2023.

Let the bashing begin!

Zimbabwean Reverend Sister Raped, Killed And Dumped In A Dam (Photos)

Plaxedes Kamundiya, a Zimbabwean reverend sister, met her demise at a prayer shrine in Mutoko, after a man allegedly pounced on her, raped and killed her, Zimnews reports.
.
The deceased was an official at St Georges High School. Her body was found floating in a dam after days of searching for her. It was learnt that Kamundiya visited the Mtoko Mother of Peace Community in an assessment tour in connection with a visit by mass server students from St Georges High School in Harare.

After interacting with the orphans and concluding her business for the day, the deceased decided to take a brief pilgrimage to the Glorious Cross of life which is a prayer shrine.

She was escorted by a female community member to the area whom she told she needed a brief time to say her prayers in solitude. She took a siesta and then woke up later only to realize Plaxedes’ car was still parked at the same spot where she had left her.

She raised the alarm that the deceased had told her she was going for a brief prayer. After asking several people if they had seen Sister Plaxedes, the now visibly panicky woman decided to send a search party after her at the blue cross shrine.
.
During the search, the party met a man who said he saw Plaxedes a while ago acting like a mad person. Not convinced by the man’s statement, the search group decided to search through his belongings and found groceries which he claimed belonged to his sister.
.
These groceries were the first link to Sister Plaxedes’s disappearance. The deceased’s body was later found floating on Mutemwa dam. Her body showed signs of struggle including bruises, blisters and bleeding from the nose.
.
The man confessed to killing Plaxedes after which he hid her bloody clothes in a sack at Chido Mudzinyama Farm. He also confessed to dragging her body and tossing it in the dam in a bid to concealing the evidence. The accused had since been handed over to the police. via: Zimnews

Prisoners To Vote In 2019 Elections - INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission says it is making arrangements with the Nigeria Prisons Service to ensure that prisoners are allowed to vote in the 2019 general elections.

The Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, said this in Abuja on Tuesday at a dialogue session with the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room Dialogue – a coalition of over 70 civil society organisations in Nigeria.

The development comes three years after a Federal High Court in Benin, Edo State, ruled that prisoners in Nigeria have the right to vote in all elections conducted in the country.

The INEC boss said the commission was looking at the possibility of creating polling units in Nigerian prisons to allow some categories of inmates to vote.

He, however, said certain categories of prisoners would not be allowed to vote depending on the nature of the crimes they committed.

Yakubu said, “We have already engaged the Comptroller-General of Prisons and we have statistics on the number of prisoners nationwide and the number of inmates that are registered. We are looking at the possibility of creating polling units in the prisons and to enable some categories of prisoners to vote.

“Ghana does it but there are some categories of prisoners who by the nature of crimes committed lose the right to vote. Whatever we can do to open up the process to ensure that as much as possible Nigerians are given the opportunity to vote, will be done.”

Also speaking on the forthcoming Anambra governorship election, the INEC boss said the commission would do everything to ensure that the election is not inconclusive.

Yakubu raised the alarm over the wrongful substitution of names of governorship candidates by two political parties ahead of the governorship election.

He regretted that the high level of non-compliance to the Electoral Act by the political parties was threatening the electoral system.

Although the INEC boss declined to name the parties involved in the wrongful substitution of candidates’ names, he warned that if the act was eventually challenged in court, the whole election could be voided on that account and the nation made to bear the financial brunt of conducting a fresh election.

The Executive Director, Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre, and Convener of Situation Room, Clement Nwankwo, said the event was organised to find out the commission’s preparations for the forthcoming Anambra State governorship poll as well as other elections update.

FG, ASUU: Another Strike Looms Over Oct 31 Agreement

Another round of strike action is looming in the nation’s Universities as academic staff counts down to the deadline for the implementation of agreements reached with the government which led to the conditional suspension of its indefinite strike action in September.

The government had signed an agreement with the Academic Staff Union of Universities as a result of the strike action embarked upon by the union to press the implementation of the memorandum of understanding entered into between both parties in 2013 as well as the 2009 agreement.

A timeline of October 2017 was reached between the government and the unions for the implementation of some components of the agreement, especially the payment of shortfall in salaries and Earned Academic Allowances.
But some lecturers informed The Nation that barely one week to the end of the October timeline, the government has not implemented any aspect of the agreement, even when they claimed during negotiation that implementation has commenced.

While suspending their strike action in September, ASUU President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi had said that the union was suspending its action conditionally to pave way for government to commence implementation of the agreement, stressing that the union will not hesitate to resume the action if the government fail to meet its own aspect of the agreement.

One lecturer who would not want his name in print told The Nation that “the government has not done anything. We have not heard from them and it is just one week to the end of the October deadline. I can assure you that we are warming up and there is the possibility that from November 1, we will resume the suspended action.

“They (government) told our leaders during negotiations that they have prepared everything for the implementation. They were even brandishing some papers, especially on the earned Academic Allowance. But we have not seen anything nor heard from them.

“They were also supposed to carry our verification because of those who employed workers without permission so that the issue of shortfall in salary can be addressed. Many of us have been verified, but nothing has happened. We have not been paid. They should not take us die a ride because when we resume the suspension action not are not going to listen to any discussion.

However, ASUU President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, however, declined to say whether or not the union will call out its members at the end of October if they are not satisfied with the level of implementation of the agreement.
Prof. Ogunyemi told The Nation over the telephone that members of the union will determine the next line of action based on the level of implementation of the agreement reached between the government and the unions.
He said both parties were making progress in the implementation of the memorandum of understating signed between them, adding that the union is still engaging the government and expressed the hope that the government will keep to their promise.

He said: “We are engaging them and we are making some few progress and we hope they will keep their promise. Otherwise, our members are ready to activate their action.

We are still in October, but we are on our guard.

We believe they will follow the process through and implement it fully. That is why we still engage them and we are talking. We are working with them and we hope they will continue to cooperate.

Asked whether they will embark on any Industrial action at the end of October, he said “I cannot say whether there will be any action at the end of October or not. It is what our members say that we shall do. I hope I am very clear? Our members shall determine what we shall do at the end of the deadline based on the level, of implementation”.

The government had promised to meet the demand of the unions with a promise to release of about N220 billion to the universities not later than October 2017 to fund the revitalisation of federal universities in the country and the payment of the shortfall in their salaries as well as payment of earned allowances which has accumulated.

Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige who promised that his Ministry will monitor the implementation the agreement reached had told newsmen after the conciliatory meeting in September that “We have concluded negotiations, the government and the leadership of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU. The ASUU negotiating team and the government discuss salient issues and most of those issues are well-known to the media but for the purposes of clarity, I can go around the grounds again.

“There’s one funding for revitalization of public universities and the issue of Earn Academic Allowances, the issue of University Staff Schools on which that there is a court judgement, the issue of National Universities Pension Management Company, and the issue of salary shortfalls for lecturers and staff of universities.

There is the issue of TSA exemption and the problems in the state universities. All are the issues that ASUU felt that government should address.
“Most of these issues stemmed from the 2009 agreement that government had ASUU and also from the 2013 Memorandum of Understanding, that the government had with ASUU. Government is a continuum, most of those issues were not issues that cropped up from the Buhari administration, we inherited them.
“But be that as it may like I said, the government is a continuum. So we are to really address those issues, we inherited them but there are issues concerning the welfare of our people. So, on the issue of funding for the revitalization of public universities, this negotiating team discussed in detail and extensively on that.

“This is the fund that would be needed for the revitalization of public universities in terms of their working tools and other things needed for the effective performance of their duties.
“There was an agreement from the MoU of 2009 and that of 2013, for government to be making some quarterly payments into this fund. And from 2014 to date, it has not been possible for the government to pay or they didn’t pay. But this government has been negotiating with ASUU since last year. Today, there is a government proposal which we all agreed id workable.

“But ASUU has to take back this our proposal to their organs, so we decided that there’s an agreement for government to make some funds available in September and October to show that they are not repudiating their agreement and to also show sign of good faith.

“However, because of the inability of the government to pay the required amount which is at N220 billion, a seven-man committee was proposed and ASUU leadership is expected to send in three nominees into this committee. It’s a technical committee so to say, a working committee and they would send in the three-man nomination, the Minister of Education will appoint three persons to represent the federal government and the chairman, making four to bring the number to seven. ASUU will also send in their proposal for testing terms of reference for the committee to the minister.

“We expect that that will be done today since today is already a Friday. This committee is expected to work out the ways and means for the government and ASUU to actualize the aspirations as per the 2013 MoU.

“This is without prejudice to the Babalakin committee on the re-negotiation of the 2009 MoU between the Federal Government and ASUU.
“On the issue of Earn Academic Allowances, we have listened and payment has started in that direction.Same with staff schools.

Government is though not appealing, we have agreed that the decision should be conveyed to the various universities.
“The Issue of NUPENCO was addressed and ways have been fashioned out for the registration of that company. Salary shortfalls for lecturers and university staff were also addressed and the government has shown their commitment and evidence that payments have started in order to liquidate the outstanding allowances.

“The issue of TSA exemption was also discussed and an agreement or proposal was muted by which the Central Bank would a special account for that in order for endowment funds and research grants will be exempted.
“State universities which have been the concern for ASUU and everybody who has been looking for quality education in the country was also discussed and the Minister of Education was mandated to take the memo to the council of state and the Federal Executive Council.

“Based on these discussions, ASUU leadership will consult with its organs and revert back to government within one week. They will consult with their organs with a view to calling off the strike. And we expect them that within one week, they will get back to government. These are the highlights of the meeting and I can tell you that the meeting took place in the very cordial atmosphere.”
